🌋🌍 Exciting Science Exploration in Mr. Robertson’s 8th Grade Class! 🌍🌋
In Mr. Roger Robertson’s 8th grade science class, the excitement was palpable as learners dove deep into the dynamic forces of earthquakes and volcanoes! Through OpenSciEd lessons, they built trifold boards to showcase their hypotheses, research, and findings on seismic activity, while constructing model volcanoes to demonstrate the science of pressure, magma flow, and tectonic movement in real-time eruptions. 🌋
The energy in the room was incredible as learners shared their knowledge of plate tectonics, fault lines, and eruption patterns. Their volcanoes erupted in controlled demonstrations, turning the classroom into a celebration of hands-on learning, creativity, and critical thinking. 🔬💡
We were honored to have Superintendent Dr. Joseph, and esteemed administrators and teachers join us for the event. Their presence and engagement with each project showed the importance of community support in education.
This day was a true reflection of the power of inquiry-based learning and the amazing potential of our young scientists. 🌟

Learners in Ms. Chandler’s Computer Science class are excelling at creating generalized solutions to multiple problems, comparing and contrasting different algorithms, and using conditional statements to perform operations based on inputs. These skills are helping them reach new levels of problem-solving and coding success. Keep up the amazing work!

In Ms. Davis’ class, learners are mastering the art of critical thinking! By carefully explaining their reasoning and backing it up with evidence from the text, they’re demonstrating true understanding and reaching their learning outcomes.

We honored our 9th -12 grade honorees! Congratulations to all of our learners who earned:
Principal's List
A Honor Roll
B Honor Roll
Congratulations Hawks!

This week we celebrated our 9th - 12th grade honorees.

Keyarron Buckley was the top learner in 4th block today. He was highly engaged in his work and demonstrated exceptional focus. When assigned to write about how tsunamis are detected and how they send warning signals, Kieran actively worked on his assignment and completed it efficiently. Additionally, he was the first to identify the tools used for tsunami detection, the first to describe how tsunami detection systems operate, and the first to explain how different systems work together to detect and warn of tsunamis. His dedication and understanding of the topic set him apart as today’s top learner.
