Friday learners had their very first Pharmacy Club meeting, and it was such a great moment to see them excited about exploring careers in pharmacy and healthcare. We’re proud of the energy they’re bringing and can’t wait to watch them grow through this new opportunity! The club is made possible through a partnership with Xavier University of New Orleans. Their collaboration provides not only resources but also inspiration, showing our learners what’s possible when schools and universities work together. We are very grateful for this partnership and excited about the doors it continues to open.

Thursday, September 11th, we will honor the Class of 2026 as they receive their Letterman Jackets in the Auditorium. Parents of honorees are invited to attend, and learners will have opportunities for photos and light refreshments afterward.

Dual Enrollment Launch: SHCCA Learners at Northshore College!

We’re thrilled to announce that a new group of SHCCA learners has officially begun their dual enrollment journey at Northshore Technical Community College! These learners are not just earning high school credits—they’re stepping boldly into college-level coursework, building confidence, and expanding their future opportunities.

From welding to culinary, our learners are exploring pathways that align with their passions and career goals. This partnership with Northshore is a powerful extension of our commitment to college and career readiness.

Yesterday our internship class took part in a Professionalism Workshop with Silva from North Oaks. They learned how to prepare before applying for jobs, use appropriate emails and phone formats, and avoid common mistakes that turn employers away. They also practiced interview skills, explored sample questions to ask, and even delivered their own elevator pitches. We are so proud of how professionally our interns showed up dressed for success, engaged, and eager to grow! #InternshipCentral

We’re thrilled to kick off the 2025–2026 school year and welcome your learner into our learning community! The first week was filled with excitement, new friendships, and the beginning of many great experiences ahead.

We focused on building routines, fostering a positive classroom environment, and helping learners feel comfortable and confident. We’ve already seen so much enthusiasm and curiosity from your learner—it’s going to be an elite year!
