📚 Learning Spotlight in Ms. Colligan’s Class! ✨
Today’s lesson challenged our learners to think deeply and fully engage with the text. The learners read an excerpt from Chapter 10 of The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind and identified the various challenges and setbacks William faces — as well as how he responds to each obstacle with resilience and determination.
They also analyzed William’s dialogue with members of his community to better understand how these interactions shape and deepen their understanding of his character.
📚 ELA Spotlight in Ms. Davis’s Class! ✍🏽✨
Today, our learners dove into Chapter 21 to explore how the adults in the story respond to Chase — and what those reactions reveal about their character and his growth. The book with the character Chase Ambrose is Restart by Gordon Korman.
After a great discussion, learners showcased their creativity by writing a narrative from the adults’ point of view. Their insight and perspective-taking were impressive! 🌟

📣 LEAP Testing Begins Next Week! High school learners taking English I & II, Geometry, Biology, and U.S. History/Civics will begin their LEAP assessments next week.
This past week, our learners participated in a LEAP Blitz to help them prepare, review key concepts, and build confidence for testing. They worked hard and showed great determination! 💪📚

There was an altercation on campus involving some of our learners. The situation was quickly controlled by our School Resource Officer who was at the scene. All parties involved have already been removed from campus and the local authorities have been notified. We commend the swift action of our SRO and the appropriate actions that were taken by school administrators. A thorough investigation is now underway.
