Our PreK littles got a treat today! They received their Buddy Bag full of cool books and other fun stuff to prepare for kindergarten! Literacy is key! So, we're working to make reading a fun thing to do!!

This morning we held the SHCCA Senior Breakfast honoring the learners who have worked diligently throughout their high school years. With 2023 Graduation just around the corner we wanted to give the seniors a special treat. Grits, eggs, bacon, sausage and biscuits were the menu items. Here are a few images of the event.

Mr. Frye and Mr. Dorsey both work tirelessly to ensure our learners have post graduate opportunities in music. Together they have raised over $3.6 million in scholarships over the past few years. Congrats to the Learner-Athletes that were chosen to represent SHCCA in the 2023 Summer Basketball League. Here are the middle school, jr. varsity and varsity rosters. There will be a try-out for the football players after the spring game. Workouts begin Monday, May 1st.
We are pleased to announce that the STEAM team at SHCCA are one of two teams from the Southeast USA that have been invited, all expense paid, to the Southwest GLOBE Student Symposium at the Earth and Science Center and Planetarium in Tyler, Tx on May 18-20, 2023. There 8 middle and high school students will present the proposal for their scientific investigation to be conducted 2023-2024. Learners will collect data from a donated solar panel array where it is inverted to kilowatts and communicated to our phones via an envoy. This data will be compared to the okta measure of cloud cover from earth and satellite flyover data plus images of our Greensburg cloud cover from the International Space Station (ISS). Next Spring we will present our conclusions at the NASA Stennis Infinity.

SHCCA Cheer parents are needed for a mandatory meeting to discuss the logistics for this upcoming season. The meeting will be held in the SHCCA auditorium on Tuesday, April 25th, 2023 at 5pm.
