Thank you to everyone who has joined us in remembering the bright, kind, and beautiful spirit of Braylon Powell. Your support, love, and prayers have been a source of comfort to his family, friends, and our school community during this time. We ask that you continue to keep Braylon’s family in your thoughts and prayers as they navigate this journey. As Psalm 34:18 reminds us, “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” Throughout the school year, we will honor Braylon’s light with acts of remembrance that celebrate the joy he brought to all of us. Together, we will keep his legacy alive. Let’s stand together as a community in love and strength. #sthelenawinning #RETHINKsthelena #RememberingBraylon

📚✨ #WaybackWednesday ✨📚 We’re taking it back to when our 3rd graders were all smiles and excitement after receiving free books to read at home! 📖💙 Encouraging a love for reading starts early, and we’re so proud of their enthusiasm! Parents, here are 3 easy tips to help your child become a stronger reader beyond just books: 1️⃣ Read social media captions: Ask your child to read posts or captions aloud while scrolling together. It’s a fun way to build fluency and comprehension! 2️⃣ Text you a paragraph: Have your child text you a short paragraph about how their day was to practice writing and reading. 3️⃣ Read signs and billboards: While driving, encourage your child to read road signs, store names, and billboards. It’s a simple way to make reading part of everyday life! Let’s keep nurturing these young readers and showing them that reading is everywhere! #sthelenawinning
