5th grade learners are receiving LDOE support to review subject, predicate, and clauses in a chapter review of their text- The Birchbark House. #sthelenawinning

3rd Grade ELA engaged in differentiated learning to strengthen their compare/contrast skills. Learners used a Venn diagram to analyze two short multimedia works. They transferred these skills to their analysis of a text passage.

3rd grade science learners engaged in observation of the environment around their school to collect evidence to answer their guiding question. Ms. Brumfield implemented the aggressive monitoring strategy to provide immediate feedback while learners worked. #sthelenawinning

Ms. Sims' 4th grade science class is engaging in an experiment to determine the relation of distance, speed, and energy through the study of collisions. Learners also engaged in the turn and talk strategy to work together to answer evidence based questions. #sthelenawinning

Our 6th-grade learners are putting their skills to work—applying ratios and rates to solve real-world word problems with clarity and confidence. This is how we build strong mathematical thinkers! #sthelenawinning

Shoutout to our learners who blasted past expectations and completed 12 or more Zearn lessons! Your hard work, discipline, and consistency are pushing our school to the next level. Keep aiming for the stars—this is what #sthelenawinning looks like.

With great pride, we congratulate Zaria Overton, our 2025–2026 Learner of the Year! Zaria is a brilliant and deeply respectful learner whose character speaks louder than any award ever could. She consistently exudes excellence—academically, behaviorally, and socially—and truly represents the spirit of what we call St. Helena Winning. Zaria, your example inspires your peers, uplifts your teachers, and encourages all of us by showing that the next generation is in great hands. Keep shining brightly. Your future is limitless. #sthelenawinning

There was an altercation on campus involving some of our learners. The situation was quickly controlled by our School Resource Officer who was at the scene. All parties involved have already been removed from campus and the local authorities have been notified. We commend the swift action of our SRO and the appropriate actions that were taken by school administrators. A thorough investigation is now underway.
Our 3rd- and 6th-grade learners engage in weekly life skills lessons that prepare them for academic transitions and future success. These sessions are meant to be comfortable and engaging opportunities to build our learners' social-emotional skills.
