- Meet the Mighty Oak Tree: An oak tree probably just looks like a tree until you know a little more about it. Read about oak trees, and if possible, look around your school and see if you can find any.
- Baby Birds: Spring brings warmer weather and baby birds. Children might think it would be fun to find and raise a baby bird, but it is actually very difficult, and often, the bird doesn’t survive. The month’s report on baby birds helps students understand why this is and how they truly can help a little bird if it falls from its nest.
- A Walk in the Woods: April is a month to focus on planet Earth and the environments around us. Learn a bit more about woodland animals and complete the hidden picture activity to take a virtual walk in the woods.
- Biography: Wangari Maathai, Nobel Peace Prize Winner. The story of Professor Maathai’s life is an inspiring story of how one person has made an important difference in her community—such a big impact that she was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize.
- Eggs 23 = Math Fun: Fun and learning go together with this Eggs-tra fun game. Students can practice addition facts while playing this game.
- Activity Calendar: Challenge your students to select one activity a week to complete with a family member and have that person sign their name on the calendar!
- STEM: Race cars without engines? Enjoy this fun project that makes a Gravity Racer out of a cereal box. This STEM page gives students a real-world application to observe the force of gravity.
- Holiday Fun: The Mysterious Egg: We created this page as an activity for a child to do with a buddy or a family member. It is a fun bonding activity that promotes conversation and laughter. Maybe assign it as a homework assignment to do with someone at home?
