Key Responsibilities:
Talent Acquisition and Recruitment:
The HR Department leads the recruitment and selection of highly qualified and diverse candidates for all instructional, support, and administrative positions. This includes developing job descriptions, advertising openings, screening applicants, and coordinating interview processes to ensure alignment with district staffing needs.Employee Onboarding and Induction:
New employees are welcomed and supported through a structured onboarding process designed to familiarize them with the district's mission, policies, procedures, and culture. The HR team also provides targeted support during the induction year, particularly for new teachers and leaders.Personnel Management and Employee Relations:
The department manages employee records, job classifications, and employment contracts, while also addressing workplace concerns and facilitating conflict resolution. HR ensures compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and district policies, including the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), and Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA).Professional Growth and Performance Management:
Human Resources oversees the performance evaluation systems for all employees, ensuring that growth and accountability remain central to the district’s culture. The department collaborates with school leaders to promote professional development and identify opportunities for career advancement.Compliance, Certification, and Records:
The department maintains all personnel files and ensures staff meet certification, background check, and continuing education requirements as established by the Louisiana Department of Education and other regulatory bodies.Strategic Workforce Planning:
