Food Service

Food Service Department Goals

  •   Our goals are to prepare and serve quality meals and food; Make sure that the food served is safe; and help students develop healthy food habits. We also encourage students to select a complete meal and eat a variety of food, use standard work practices that help control costs and stay within the budget and help create a workplace that makes other FSAs want to be part of the team.

     POLICY

We are pleased to announce that all students enrolled in St. Helena Parish schools are now eligible to receive a healthy breakfast and lunch at school at NO CHARGE to your household each day of the 2018-2019 school year. Students will be able to participate in this meal program without having to pay a fee or submit a meal application.

In addition, we have been approved for the third year Breakfast in the Classroom for the 2019-2020 school year. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. This program ensures students receive a nutritious breakfast needed to think clearly, concentrate on learning, and perform better in class. The allotted time will also be used to take attendance or give announcements so no class time is lost. St. Helena College and Career Academy students will receive a "Grab and Go" breakfast. Students at the Early Learning Center and Arts and Technology Academy will receive their breakfast in the classrooms.
